Project Management

Project management provides a framework for setting goals, defining crucial tasks, and tracking the progress of a project—be it large or small. Effective project-management techniques enable you to complete projects on time and on budget.

Proper project management also enhances teamwork, because it helps people communicate more effectively and have a more clear understanding of their own and others’ responsibilities. In brief, project management saves time, lowers costs, decreases rework, and produces a better product or service.

At Cell Associates, we take a project-management approach to all of our work. We set goals and objectives, track progress, and measure results. We can also introduce your staff to the general concepts of project planning and scheduling, such as training them to use Microsoft Project or other project-management software.

The Process

Establish Goals and Objectives: Clearly define the project’s goals and objectives and verify that they appropriately address current market dynamics and business issues.
Identify Project Team Members: Work with managers and employees to identify members of a cross-functional project team, which takes responsibility for getting ‘buy in’ on the project as well as on individual tasks.
Outline Key Tasks and Responsibilities: We assist the project team and extended team members in building a list of major tasks to complete in each phase of the project.
Scheduling and Tracking: We develop a schedule—driven from team input—that determines project timing and milestones, and this timeline sets the standard for performance, with progress measured on a weekly basis.
